Sketchup really slow
Webb10 okt. 2014 · I’m having problems with Revit 2014 running slow after creating families from SketchUp models which are then loaded into a project. Here is how I’m creating the families: SketchUp Pro 2014 model exported as DWG; Revit > Create New Family > Furniture Template > Import CAD > Save Family > Load into Project Webb11 sep. 2012 · Drape etc. For this reason along I'm constantly pressing Ctrl+T - deselecting in fear of the smoothing to kick in. Whenever SketchUp works hard on something I always check if the smoothing occurred. It's undoable if you catch it immediately. It's reported to the SketchUp team - but it wasn't an easy thing to fix.

Webb1 maj 2024 · I have also noticed that Sketchup Make 2024 is very laggy and unresponsive recently even in under 10Mb project. I have 16Gb RAM, 1060 6Gb video card, 1Tb Seagate HDD, 233GHz dual core processor. I used components for building details like windows, doors, lights, even floors are one component. Sketchup is installed run as administrator. Webb15 juni 2024 · Answer When LayOut is experiencing freezing or lagging, you can increase the program’s performance by changing your rendering settings. You’ll want to set the rendering settings to Raster while editing the file, and once edited you can switch back to Vector or Hybrid for any exporting or printing purposes you might have.

Webb18 feb. 2024 · The new version of Sketchup is particularly slow to open. Many coolaboartors are impacted with this. We use z240 or Z2 as workstation and previous version of sketchup where ok. One exemple: I just timed it, it took 4min 20 to open the file. It’s a 50 mb file, but it’s almost the same with a file I was opening before of 1.7 mb.

If you've complex geometry you need in Sketchup you should really try to use all complex things as proxies instead of just directly importing them into your model. Try using more simple imported models. Try as well the “Fix Problems” button beside the purge button.
