It’s a game that’s generally going to be more fun with friends but they aren’t necessary to enjoy it. As long as you like randomized survival/base building games then you should be able to enjoy it.

WebThe game is a blast solo. I started with friends who lost interest about 4/5ths of the way through the game. So I took it upon myself to start a whole new character on an entirely different seed. Beat all 5 bosses and managed to get a lot of hours of enjoyment out of a $20 investment. WebNo one can loot your raft. You either invite friends to play as a team or you play solo with NPCs Edit: if the people you invite to play with you loot your raft, then yes, they can. I've never invited anyone to play that would do that so I didn't even consider it. Edit 2: I probably misused the terminology NPC.
